Extra fat are not necessarily  positive or negative. Like all the other foods they are essential  for our success. However, what one should keep in mind is that there are good fats and bad fats. Your part is to get the healthy fats and have more of them. Good fats help your mind and your neurological program. It's difficult to live without these good fats.Bad fats are extensive in our diet these days and the regrettable thing is that they are bad for health. They cause heart diseases  and even improve the rate of cancer. Not only that. If you are looking to reduce weight then they will not help you in that effort either as they make you improve your body program fat.

The four main kinds of fats are the saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and trans fat. Almost all fats with have a mixture of these kinds of fat in different levels. The good fats are saturated, monounsaturated and a little bit of polyunsaturated. Trans fats are the bad guys when it comes to fats and one should stay away from it if one really want to remain healthy in the long run.

Even though saturated fats have had a bad press attention one should be aware that they are not bad in themselves.
